When the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center and Penrose Cancer Center partnered up to form a comprehensive oncology center for both inpatient and outpatient services, they needed a new state-of-the-art facility. The opted for a medical tenant finish to an 18,000-square-foot space on the fourth floor of an existing medical facility. Emerald managed this design-build project on an expedited timeframe, completing all construction in 100 days without disrupting operations on the other occupied floors of the building, or at the active hospital in an adjacent building. The project included the removal and reconstruction of an exterior wall, as well as the installation of a PET-CT machine that needed to be moved into the space via a crane. The final build created an innovative new space that conformed to all existing building finishes.
