Emerald Construction Management coordinated the ground-up construction of an 11,000-square-foot shopping center with a six-pump fuel filling station. The project began with the demolition of a two-story, 1,800-square-foot liquor store that was on the site. The Emerald team then roughed in a new 2,300-square-foot convenience store and gas station structure, a 2,500-square-foot restaurant and a 22,000 square-foot parking lot. Tennant finishes included a new 4,500-square-foot liquor store, an 800-square-foot dry cleaner storefront and 900 square feet of office space. To round out the project, our engineers designed and installed a septic system specific to the needs of the building, and also drilled 850 feet into the earth to build a commercial-grade domestic water well. Emerald coordinated all efforts with Adams County Zoning and Planning Department, Adams County Building Department, Arapahoe County Zoning and Planning Department, Arapahoe County Building Department, Colorado Department of Transportation, Local Watkins Volunteer Fire Department, Xcel Energy and the State of Colorado.
